Spelling

Fourth Graders- Unit 19 core words they will be learning are; heavy, carefully, follow, beautiful, everyone.  The skills the students will be working on are suffixes and comparisons.

Third Graders- Unit 19 core words they will be learning are; example, heard, several, change, and answer. The skills the students will be working on are homophones and irregular verb forms.

Reading

4th Graders will be reading Where the Red Fern Grows.

3rd Graders will be doing a unit of poetry.

-We also are reading short stories. This week the students will the reading the fairy tale The Red Swan.

*Each month students should read two chapter books at home. They then write a one page summary or do a verbal summary to Miss. Libert at school.

Math-

3rd Graders will be working on Unit 11 Probability

Science

Tuesday: Finish Stars

Wednesday-Friday: Earth Features (What covers Earth’s Surface, What are some of Earth’s land and water features, What land features are in the Ocean, What are the Layers of the Earth).

*For Social Studies and Science, we will rotate them per quarter, so we can focus on one subjects material at a time (instead of dividing the time between the two each day).
