Spelling

Fourth Graders- Unit 21 core words they will be learning are; watch, shell, dry, within, and floor. The skill the students will be working on is a suffix is a letter or letters added to the end of a word.

Third Graders- Unit 21 core words they will be learning are; learn, point, city, play, and toward. The skill the students will be working on is some sounds are spelled more than one way.

Reading

4th Graders will be reading Where the Red Fern Grows.

3rd Graders will be doing a report on an author.

*Each month students should read two chapter books at home. They then write a one page summary or do a verbal summary to Miss. Libert at school.

Math-

3rd Graders will be working on Unit 11

Monday-Tuesday:  Sudden Changes to Earth (What are earthquakes, What are Volcanos, What are landslides and floods).

Wednesday-Friday: Weathering and Erosion (What is weathering, What is erosion, How can people change the land).

*For Social Studies and Science, we will rotate them per quarter, so we can focus on one subjects material at a time (instead of dividing the time between the two each day).
