A friendly reminder from our PTO to please help with the selling of the “What a Difference a
Day Makes, Pray 3.6.5” calendar dates. Extra cards can be picked up in the school office.
Multiple dates are still available and only cost $50 per day.
The Public Health Nurse will be here for vision screenings on May 1st. Screenings for
will start at 9:00am for Preschool – Grade 6. (This has been rescheduled from March 13th.)
Storm make up dates: April 24th will now be a full day of school. May 24th will now be the last day of school. Please note that with the recent late starts we will have additional time to be made up.
Friday, March 29, 2019 will be the last day of winter in-city bus service for Rugby school students.
Little Flower School will be hosting a “Kindergarten Open House” for any families interested in attending Kindergarten at Little Flower School. The open house will be held Thursday, April 4th from 5:30 to 6:30 PM in the Kindergarten room. The Kindergarten teacher(Miss Heilman), PTO member, and administration will be available to give you and your children a tour of the school and answer any questions you may have.
Kindergarten registration for the 2019-20
school year is set for
April 8th – 12th from 8:00 AM to 3:00 PM in the school office. To be eligible for kindergarten, students must turn 5 years of age by midnight July 31st of 2019. Please bring a copy of your child’s birth certificate and immunization record.
A committee has been formed for reviewing the coursework for the Institute for School and Parish Improvement. The committee is meeting weekly to develop strategies and plans to  help ensure the longevity of our school. Be watching for more information to come.

Prayers for our Confirmation Candidates.  We joyfully request  prayer partners from St Therese the Little Flower Parish, for the 3rd grade students who will be receiving the sacraments of Confirmation and First Communion.  A Prayer board has been placed in the east alcove with the names of students who are preparing to receive their sacraments on April 5. Please visit the alcove and take the name of a student and their family to pray for during this preparation period.
THE ANNUAL CYO FREE WILL RUMMAGE SALE will be held March 22, 3-7pm and March 23, 8:30am-7pm, in the Msr Cloos Dining Room. The CYO would like to invite Little Flower School students/ Families  to be the first customers of the sale at a special “Shopping Hour” from 2-3pm on Friday.
As we begin the season of Lent it is a great time to “Spring Clean” and donate items to this worth-while cause. Rummage Sale donations may be brought to Little Flower, March 19-22. Please leave all items in the church basement, clearly marked “Rummage Sale.”  Proceeds from the annual CYO Free Will Rummage sale, are used to fund our parish CYO teen ministry.
Our third grade Confirmation/First Communion students will make their First Communion Retreat, next Saturday, March 30th.  Sign-in will be at 7:45, followed by a Procession into Mass at 8am.   The day will include a breakfast snack, workshops, Reconciliation and a Pot-Luck Lunch.  Practice for the April 5th Confirmation Mass will follow at 1pm-2pm. Please remember to confirm arrangements for your child’s sponsor to attend this retreat. Questions may be directed to Rebecca Leier at 776-6388.
Parents, Please make time to help your child with their grade level prayers on their class prayer chart.  Spring is here and we have until May 6 to complete our prayer charts.  Our Parish Prayer medal service will be held on May 12 at the 10:30 mass.
